With a mission to meet the health needs of an area designated as medically underserved, Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare built Jewish Hospital Health Center-Meade County. The facility opened in October 1995 on land donated by the Olin Chemical Plant. The 10,000 square foot Health Center is staffed by primary care physicians and a nurse practitioner that specialize in family medicine, including diabetes and pre-natal care. Physicians in the following specialty areas are also available:

• Allergy care
• Cardiology
• Neurology
• General Surgery

The Health Center has eleven treatment rooms, one procedure room, two trauma rooms, radiology (including mammography) and laboratory services.

Comprehensive outpatient rehab services are provided by the Frazier Rehab Institute Network.

Visitors may also take advantage of the Health Information Center with a wealth of free resources on diet, exercise and numerous health conditions.
