Spinal Cord Injury Model System
Frazier Rehab Institute, along with physicians and researchers from the University of Louisville, are proud to be designated as a Spinal Cord Injury Model System. Frazier Rehab is one of only fourteen centers in the nation to receive this designation. All centers collaborate to share patient data and advance the science of spinal cord injury treatment.
The model system program is funded by a grant from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) at the U.S. Department of Education. The grant is currently active through 2016 and funds a research project to better the field of spinal cord medicine.
The grant program encompasses a full continuum of care including medical rehabilitation and treatment and psychological services. Learn more about what designates a model system. To be considered as a patient, please fill out the linked form.
