The Center For Advanced Medicine
The Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM) is the the focal point for research activities for Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare. In 1997, Ann and Charles Hertzman funded the Center and today our mission is to provide core research services of outstanding quality for the advancement of the latest and most promising innovations in patient care. We do this by working through Jewish Hospital and St. Mary’s HealthCare Clinical Centers of Excellence and affiliated organizations and medical staffs.
CAM collaborates with a number of clinical specialties, ranging from the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease to advances in rehabilitation.
Current studies range from the early detection and treatment of lung cancer to the latest in treatment and prevention of stroke. Study services offered by the CAM include coordination, grant writing, research and billing compliance assistance, biostatistics consulting, along with research management to include project and data management.
Since its founding, CAM has been associated with hundreds of clinical research projects. We are currently involved with more than 300 clinical trials, each directed by a local Principal Investigator, many of whom are University of Louisville School of Medicine Faculty.
