Jewish Hospital to Unveil Mayor’s Mile Walking Program

Jewish Hospital, part of KentuckyOne Health, will welcome Mayor Greg Fischer and Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, director of the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health, to kick-off the hospital’s Mayor’s Mile.  A Mayor’s mile is a system of ground markers and pole signs that designate every 1/10th of a mile to help facilitate walking for groups and individuals. Mayor’s Miles are a part of the Mayor’s Healthy Hometown Movement, which encourages increased exercise for the citizens of Louisville, Kentucky and increased consumption of fruits and vegetables. The Mayor’s Mile on the Jewish Hospital Medical Campus is the third location at a KentuckyOne Health facility.
